Islay Inn Re-entry Blues: Tuesday, August 19th!

Muleage from Calgary, Medicine Hat & Winnipeg!

Sorry I did not realize you were back so soon. I was coming over to clean this am as the visitors had to leave early Monday so we had said we would clean for them.  Hope things were ok.  I do somehow seem to have a lot of your towels.  I washed everything here.  We were coming down this am.  Is that still ok are will you be sleeping in?  Pauline

Hi Pauline! Pleased to learn that the wedding went so well. We had a very good, if  whirlwindish, trip back. Drove to Medicine Hat on Sunday and left there early yesterday morning. With time change, to our advantage, we were back in Vancouver at 7:30 pm. Dropped in to wish Chloë  Happy Birthday at her place. She had a group of friends over for dinner so we just had a quick drink and then made for our place. Flamin' and Sarge had us for dinner so we were well taken care of.

[Chloe Alexis Dunn shared Cody Ziemanski's photo. The fish that Pierre Prince caught at War Eagle!!

  • Pierre Prince Papa thank you for putting that in perspective for any of the doubters out there.
  • Patrick James Dunn Just the facts, Xavierino, just the facts!]
As you can tell, we are up so come over whenever it is convenient. Don't worry about having to tidy up as place is fine. We need to unpack and do all sorts of washing, etc., ourselves, getting ready for next round of visitors. Ayn arrives tomorrow and Zircon, (Jim Hillson), friend we stayed with, coming and going, in Medicine Hat, on Friday and then Cody, our nephew, sometime this weekend. He is driving out to Vancouver with a friend who will be going to school in Kelowna this Fall. House exchange friends from Cornwall, Gayle and Derek, on September 10th, for three weeks, (Hope you, Sylvia/Ray, will be able to meet them.), so social merry-go-round continues! Cheers, Patrizzio!

PS: Only thing I worried about is my "stolen" Lawn Tennis towels!!!!

Thanks D, it was nice to see you both on the actual day even though it was brief!  Love you both!! xxxx  Chloe Alexis

P, You home yet? Just a quick note lest I forget: Chasy says he is going to ride with us so we have one more ticket if you have a taker? More shortly, W

Come in Republic of Galiano, Heartbreak Terrace calling!

Pleased to learn that the namesake of Team Jackal will be joining the peloton! I'll ask Sara if she wishes to reconsider and will let you know as soon as I hear back from her.

Arrived home yesterday. We had a very good, if whirlwindish, trip back. Drove to Medicine Hat on Sunday and left there early yesterday morning. Spent most of today unpacking and doing all sorts of washing, cleaning, etc., getting ready for next round of visitors. Managed a short run out to UBC late this afternoon. Quite enjoyed being back on home turf, so to speak. Lovely day so that part was also rather pleasant. In fact, temperature was just as warm as it had often been at the lake.  Stats fro ride:

Really needed to stretch my legs as last ride was at Falcon on Saturday. Factoring in time change each day, spent 11 hours at the wheel on Sunday and 13.5 on Monday.

Quite pleased with myself as my fractious Navigator was either sleeping or reading for most of the drive. Every time I asked, meekly, for a sandwich, or a sip of java, I was subjected to unprintable verbal abuse atop surly, grudging service, characterized by "not-again" glares, weary, prolonged groans and plain, simple hostility! Fortunately had some good radio reception along the way and loads of CD's when static took over the airwaves. Chat anon. Cheers, Il Condutore!

Dear Patrick Dunn,Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I will be happy to help you.

You are still be able to view the link via email, we have not removed that function. I have a few questions so that I may better address your issue.
Are you putting your email in the To: and From: portion of the email window?
Are you typing the moving letters after clicking "send email?" Do you receive a confirmation that the email was sent? Have you checked your spam filter for the email?

Please reply to this email for further assistance. With Best Regards, Leah Customer Care - Fitness Team, Garmin International

Hi Leah! Thank you for the last message. I apologize for not responding sooner. In fact, the answer is "yes" to all of your questions. This being the case, I wanted to try another, different email address and Presto, it worked:

Somehow, AddThis seems to be interfering with my latest email address at UBC so I am not particularly happy about this. Nevertheless, the problem is with my system, not with Garmin, obviously. Thank you for your consideration and help. I must say that I find the Garmin odometre a remarkable addition to my cycling activities so I thank the company for this wonderful product and related ride support. It is simply a delight to be able to track my rides wherever I happen to be, not to mention all the other nifty features. Cheers, Patrizzio!
