Fraser Canyon Blues: Sunday, April 12th!

Uttering a word is like striking a note on the keyboard of the imagination. -Ludwig Wittgenstein, philosopher (1889-1951)

Marvin Angelo Mercado at The Cove Lakeside Resort Relaxing Patrick James Dunn You have been relaxing since Friday, Marvinator!
Sorry, can’t make tomorrow. Les Well, I guess there's no bridge tomorrow. Let's look forward to the 20th at Mr. T's. Cheers, R.

This morning ChloĆ« knocked on our door at just after 7:30 am to report that Dusty had left to retrieve a baggage dolly from lobby! No real reason to rush but once he gets an idea into his head, that is it! We all struggled out of bed since we knew it was no use to persuade him otherwise and I set about packing my suitcase and as much of the kitchenware/food  not needed while Cora Lee prepared another tasty omelet with Farmer's sausage. I took one large load of suitcases and garment bags down to car before we ate and there were plenty of carts available in spite of Dusty's concern! By the time we'd cleaned up and those who were showering did so, it was close to 10:00 am when we checked out with another full cart to load into Cora Lee's car! Happened to bump into Megan and Ryan as they were getting ready to join the rest of their respective families for the catered breakfast. Thanked and congratulated them and we set off for home.

As the Coquihalla had been closed, for a time, on Saturday night, we opted to take Highway 1 through Cache Creek, Ashcroft, Lytton and Yale. Had not driven this way since the early 80's, back from Winnipeg, before Coquihalla was completed in 1986, for Expo, as you probably recall. What a wonderful drive. Had forgotten just how scenic many parts were so everyone enjoyed the ride. Back home close to 3:00 pm to unload and unpack. After that, Cora Lee and I went downstairs to file our income tax returns. I had readied them earlier in week but like to go over everything with another set of eyes before actually Netfiling. We both have refunds coming, (We hope/trust/pray!), but will do little good as ChloĆ« owes over $2,000 so guess what? Interim bankers, (We hope/trust/pray!), once again!  Dinner of overlefts with Durstons and then we watched a number of recorded shows, (Call the Midwife, Elementary), before heading to bed to read.
